Pedology Research Lab
The Pedology Research Lab supports the work of graduate and undergraduate students studying processes related to the formation and evolution of soils and landscapes, under the mentorship of Dr. Rabenhorst and other ENST faculty. Particular emphasis is given to:
-
Pedogenic processes across landscapes
-
Hydromorphic soils of non-tidal wetlands and coastal marshes
-
Evaluation of natural and restored wetlands
-
Pedogenesis and resource inventory of subaqueous soils
The lab is equipped for characterization of basic soil physical and chemical properties, and in addition, has facilities needed for micromorphological investigations and for mineralogical studies employing X-Ray Diffraction.
